Disclaimer: I wrote this as soon as I woke up. I just copy-pasted this raw.
Amnesia-like dream today. It started with me and some people around a table. It was quite dark and maybe it was a basement. Everything around us was made with stone. I remember there was something behind me which kept changing, at one point after telling the others who wouldn’t listen, I grabbed someone’s flashlight (was it my mum’s?) And pointed at the thing. It was a very spooky stone decoration of a long screaming face. It rumbled the whole place and a spiral staircase came down from the ceiling, probably onto the next floor, I believe I urged the people to come with me fast but they wouldn’t. Then from the corridor a figure emerged, it was long and vertically stretched. I went up the stairs to a beautiful palace, with a lot of golden colors, chocolate brown furniture and a red silk carpet on the corridors, with a tall inside and old furniture. I tried hiding in a room but the figure (the queen, princess?) found my hiding spot so I grabbed a chair and risked fighting her. To my surprise, bashing her with it worked and would leave her dazed for a second. I dashed out of the room, grabbed another chair from the corridor and did the same, then finding a proper weapon, an axe or sword, and I hacked at her, dismembering one of arms (she didn’t look human, it looked an animated bunch of objects in the layout of a human). The axe broke, it was a one-time use. She disappeared, I was able to stave her away. But I knew she’d be back. I told everyone to come. I knew it was time for us to loot the whole place for anything important that might help us escape. The others were in a surprising lack of a rush. I felt like I was the only one taking it seriously. I grabbed many notes (they were highlighted in a purple light) but didn’t read any. I wanted to, but I didn’t know how to access them once looted? Looting felt really cool because this was Amnesia-like game, but the looting was complex. For example, I once found a small box. In it, there was a tiny wall clock, which I was able to take apart somewhat. Removing the actual mechanical clock, turning it around then placing it back, but now being able to extract a piece to reveal a picture of the king. It was fragile. I felt empathy for the queen/princess and chose to not loot it, instead leaving the clock, flipped so the picture of the king would show, on top of the table. Maybe she can’t interact with physical objects, I thought, and maybe she missed him. So I’d leave that there to her. We found many items, too, glasses, hidden aromatic powders, etc. I told everyone to bring it downstairs, as the place was rumbling again. Now here I’m not sure what happened after what, but… We went downstairs and came out through another place, by climbing a very steep mountain with water rushing down? We surfaced into an outside part we had already been to before but didn’t have much to offer. It was dark out but visible enough. I took a note close to a shining red door with a lot of reliefs drawn on it, and a guardian began to materialize. I don’t remember what they said. We started to run away as it threw projectiles our way. I realized it was only really targeting me. I don’t remember if this was after, or before but we started to find many weapons high up on the tall corridors (now inside the palace again), something we hadn’t noticed. We easily grabbed them by simply jumping. We had newfound hope and were excited to keep fighting. Me, at least, or especially. Only the 1st basement part of the dream was truly scary, even fighting the palace monster felt cooler rather than scary.
